About Sideloading
Installing a software for testing involves a method called sideloading. It also involves the risk that the developer adds malicious code to the app under test, so make sure you only do this with software from people you can trust, or that you can get hold of, if needed.I have added a YouTube clip that demonstrates how to sideload an app.
About Roland Vender driver
There is a conflict between Windows 10 UWP MIDI driver and Roland Vender driver. Some functionality does not work when the Vender driver is in use. Those are the Play, Save and Delete functions. (Play is the preview you get when pressing the volume button on the INTEGRA-7, Save and Delete functions are found in the Tone Editor and the Studio Set Editor.)
Everything else works with the Vender driver active, and you can use the softwares below anyway, just that you have to use the INTEGRA-7 front panel for those functions.
If you want full functionality of the apps below, please temporarily disable the Vender driver in your INTEGRA-7. You do not have to uninstall it, and you can just as easy activate it again.
Press 'Menu', select 'System' and press 'Enter'. Then change the 'USB Driver'.
Roland Integra-7 Librarian and editor for Windows 10
Just download the file Roland INTEGRA-7 Librarian and editor for Windows and unzip to some folder.Enter the folder and you will find a sub-folder and a file. For installation on a Windows 10 computer, open the sub-folder. Right-click on file 'Add-AppDevPackage.ps1' and select 'Run with PowerShell'. Follow the instructions.
NOTE! If a previous version is already installed, you will have to un-install that first:
Click or press the Windows button.
Start typing 'Roland Int...' until you see the program, or find it the way you are used to.
Right-click the program icon and select 'Uninstall'.
This will only work if you set your computer to developer mode. To do that is potentially dangerous, but it is the only way to test apps during development. When the app is published via the store, Microsoft will first run extensive tests to assure your security, and allows installation without setting the computer to developer mode.
So, for testing the app, you need to set the computer to developer mode, and trust that I do not try to hack you. Also run a virus check on the AppPackages.zip file before unzipping it.
This is called side-loading. To set developer mode, go to all settings, select 'update and security', and then to 'for developers' and turn on 'developer mode'.
If you feel uncertain about this, do not try it. When it is finished, whenever that will be, I will put it up on the store.
Roland Integra-7 Librarian for Android
Just download the file Roland INTEGRA-7 Librarian for Android tablet to your Android tablet. Pull down from top of screen and accept installation or open the file with some application that can install apps, e.g. File Manager, and double-tap it or whatever means of installation the app uses.Note that the Roland INTEGRA-7 Librarian for Android tablet also runs on Android phones, but the user interface will not fit well on smaller screens. My 10" tablet is what I concider a minimum.
I am developing this app because I want to see if Roland INTEGRA-7 Librarian and editor for Windows 10 can be ported to Xamarin, a multi device type development platform, where it should support Windows 10, Android, iOS as well as MacOS.
However, the future will show how this turns out. Current version has buttons to switch to the editors and the motional surround pages, but those are not developed yet. The Librarian, however, works now, except for the favorites part. But only the librarian alone is useful enough, in my opinion.
